Puppet Performance Workshop
A treasure chest is thrown open revealing a choice of more than 200 glove-puppets. Each child chooses 2 puppets and after a short session of puppet manipulation they work in small groups or pairs to create a story. These are later performed as plays in a specially designed puppet booth with Prof Panic acting as compere and interpreter. The session only ends when the last puppet is recaptured and replaced in the chest.
A sure hit for 5- 12 year olds, this workshop develops storytelling
skills and can be a great aid to creative writing. It's great fun as well. The shyest child will usually perform happily whilst hidden behind a puppet.
Puppet play helps to develop confidence and a sense of achievement at all levels. |
